Job Summary

MARCHÉ D'ALIMENTATION COREEN MTL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. As a Food Service Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load buspans and trays, and unload them when necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and portion and wrap foods.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and take customers' orders.
  • Stock Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and sharpen kitchen knives.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work, and availability for the advertised start date.
  • Legality: Currently legally able to work in Canada.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience.

  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
