Food Counter Attendant

Job Title: Food Counter Attendant
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at SSMU. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing food ingredients, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare input ingredients for menu items and prepare food for the following day's service.
- Perform 'à la minute' preparation of dishes upon order.
- Ensure prepared food meets Gerts' quality standards and regulated health and food standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of service and storage areas, work area, and equipment.
- Perform cashier duties as needed when orders are placed directly with the kitchen.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance checklist.
- Keep track of kitchen inventory and report shortages to the Bar Manager.
- Ensure cleaning shift list is followed and completed before punching out.
- Receive and put away food orders using proper FIFO rotation.
Requirements:
- MAPAQ 'Séance de formation sur l'hygiène et la salubrité alimentaires' certification or 'Manipulateur d'aliments' certification.
- Basic knowledge of using cooking equipment.
- Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated.
Working Conditions:
- Medium pressure work environment during peak periods.
- Working environment will be in a commercial kitchen.

- Paid position: $15.25.
