Hotel Operations Manager

The Labrador Inn is seeking a skilled Hotel Clerk Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our hotel staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our front desk, ensuring exceptional guest service, and leading a team of hotel clerks.
Key Responsibilities:- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Perform same duties as workers supervised, including checking guests in and out, handling room assignments, and resolving guest complaints.
- Prepare and submit reports on hotel performance, guest feedback, and staff productivity.
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs, such as providing wheelchair accessibility or arranging for extra amenities.
- Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
- Requisition materials and supplies as needed.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and other hotel management software.
