Become a part of the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), a prominent institutional investment manager, as an Intern in Equity Analysis. In this role, you will engage with our innovative team, contributing to the advancement of our equity investment strategies.

  • Support the Senior Portfolio Manager in evaluating and facilitating decision-making processes for the equity investment portfolio.
  • Develop, organize, and oversee databases pertinent to IMCO's Equity Investment Models.
  • Engage in the expansion of the investment program and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Assist in monitoring portfolio risk indicators and suggest strategies for risk management.
  • Learn about and contribute to quantitative methodologies aimed at portfolio optimization and alpha generation.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Experience in data analysis, database management, and familiarity with SQL.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning/AI is an asset.
  • Familiarity with risk models and financial datasets is advantageous.
