Job Title: Healthcare Equity Lead

About the Role

The Healthcare Equity Lead will play a key role in leading the development, planning, and implementation of projects and initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within our organization. This includes:

  • Building and sustaining professional and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinating and conducting analysis of local healthcare systems to identify gaps and establish planning priorities
  • Facilitating engagement and collaboration with community partners to advance work plans that align with provincial priorities and our Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Anti-Racism strategy
  • Working with staff across business units to reduce access barriers and improve health system navigation and health outcomes for people from equity-deserving communities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post-secondary education (master's level preferred) in health administration, population health, public health, business administration, or a related field
  • Understanding and experience with embedding quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development and implementation of provincial strategic plans with health equity embedded
  • Exceptional knowledge of key health equity concepts, issues, and trends, including knowledge of EIDA-R and anti-oppression practices
  • Knowledge of anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity, inclusion, and diversity frameworks
  • Excellent knowledge of and proven ability to apply multiple planning and analysis methodologies to make effective recommendations
