Your Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
  • Advanced understanding of Networking principles
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCloud, Digital Ocean)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Unix-based systems and IP networking at a fundamental level
  • Comfortable working with both RHEL and Debian-based Linux distributions
  • Familiarity with:
    • Debugging containerized applications and their runtime environments (LXC/D, Docker, Podman)
    • Container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)
    • Linux hypervisor systems and associated tools (KVM, Xen/XCP-ng, Proxmox, etc.)
  • Proficient scripting skills in Bash and Python
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Linux consulting environment or as an independent contractor
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise for managing requests and tracking time
  • Expertise in performance tuning, debugging, and clustering of Linux-based Database Systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite) and SQL
  • Advanced networking skills, including Campus/Enterprise networking, VLANs, VPNs, managed switches, overlay networks, and dynamic routing protocols
  • Software development experience in various programming languages
  • Relevant certifications in platforms and products (AWS, Azure, K8S, RHEL, etc.)
  • A technical diploma (CIS or CS) or higher

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to client inquiries
  • Address client system alerts
  • Conduct system patching and health assessments for clients
  • Execute deployments according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Onboard new clients and develop strategies for enhancing their infrastructure
  • Track time for all hours worked
  • Availability for occasional after-hours work
  • Engage in a collaborative and enjoyable team environment
