About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at K-W DRYWALL SERVICES LTD. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction projects, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling forms and scaffolding, and mixing and pouring materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix and Pour Materials: Mix and pour materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, adhering to safety protocols and construction standards.
  • Demolition Assistance: Assist in the demolition of buildings, following safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in various locations.
  • Work Setting: Willingness to travel and work at various job sites.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, and working under tight deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with a preference for permanent positions.
