We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Diamond Construction. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, meeting the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Resilient Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and linoleum, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
  • Flooring Inspection and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring accurate and efficient planning.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning, leveling, and ensuring a stable surface.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring a thorough understanding of each project.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers, using clear and concise language.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in floor covering installation.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
