Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscape professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for our clients' properties, including lawn care, pruning, and planting.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments to estimate labour and material requirements for projects, ensuring accurate budgets and timelines.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of complex landscape features, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and safety.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and track project progress, including hours worked, materials used, and client communications.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure high-quality materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues on-site, providing expert guidance to team members and clients to ensure project success.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient workflows, ensuring team members have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
  • Workplace Information: On-the-road job, with regular travel to client sites.
