We are seeking a highly skilled Staff SRE Engineer to build out our SRE roadmap and functions that help keep our platforms and services resilient and secure.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-growth, high-energy startup that is poised to lead the next wave of application security products. As our first SRE hire, you will play a key role in shaping our SRE function and contributing to the development of our cloud native security products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and communicate on-call schedules and processes to the broader engineering teams
  • Document and communicate design decisions with the broader team to support a remote, asynchronous work culture
  • Function independently while making technical choices in the presence of unknowns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering leaders
  • Take active interest in understanding customer problems while building features in an iterative manner
  • Adapt SRE practices and processes quickly to scale with a fast-growing startup and product
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in an active hands-on SRE role in a fast-paced engineering org building SaaS/cloud-native products and services
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Golang, and Python
  • Knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their automation toolchains
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a remote team
  • D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or similar equivalent industry experience is preferred
