About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Coordinator to join our team at JD Development Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the development process, from feasibility analysis to project occupancy and registration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development Planning: Analyze planning status and prepare concept plans for potential projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Application Preparation: Prepare all necessary materials for submission to regulatory bodies, including development applications, site plans, and zoning by-laws.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with municipal staff, approval agencies, and consultants to ensure timely project completion.
  • Registration and Compliance: Coordinate Tarion registration, securities, and clearances, as well as residential, condominium, and commercial registration.
  • Financial Management: Assist in project budget preparation, track actual costs against forecast, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Design Review: Review consultant reports and design work, providing input from a technical, practical, and marketing perspective.
  • Permitting: Prepare building permits and other municipal permits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Consultant Selection: Assist in the selection and hiring process of project consultants.
  • Project Management: Develop, manage, and update project schedules, incorporating all phases of the project cycle.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in land use planning, with a demonstrated knowledge of complex projects, including subdivision plans, official plan and zoning amendments, and site plan approvals.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Planning and Development processes, including Draft Plan of Subdivision and Condominium, Zoning Amendments, and Site Plan approval.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education: University degree in a relevant field.
