About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up services to clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation, assessment, and treatment services to clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to facilitate, restore, and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function.
  • Provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • May be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS).
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Experience co-facilitating education sessions with other multi-disciplinary team members preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $33.97 - $42.89.
  • A short assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly.
  • A 3-month assignment.
