About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up services to clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Program Manager to facilitate, restore, and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function. You will provide intervention to address clients' occupational performance components, including physical, cognitive, and affective aspects.

You will also provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers, and function as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health care team.

The Occupational Therapist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
  • BCLS certification
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, creativity, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Long assignment, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately a 14-month assignment
Compensation and Benefits

$33.97 - $42.89 Hourly
