About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. Your objectives will be to facilitate, restore, and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function.

You will provide intervention to address clients' occupational performance components (physical, cognitive, and/or affective) and provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers. You will function as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health care team.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist who has:

  • Graduated from a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
  • BCLS certification
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, creativity, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Short assignment, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately a 5-month assignment
  • This position works shifts over a 6-day per week schedule
Compensation and Benefits

$33.97 - $42.89 Hourly
