Job Summary

The Marketing Director will play a critical role in expanding GMR Safety's presence in North America and Europe. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring global marketing strategies and communications to support our international growth and increase our visibility in targeted industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a diverse team of three resources
    • Manage employee service (hiring, performance evaluation, etc.) and participate in their development, in collaboration with HR
    • Clearly communicate team objectives, deliverables, and priorities to ensure high productivity and quality, and achieve company goals
    • Ensure quality management, workforce planning, coaching, and training
    • Organize, prioritize, and review team work for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Marketing Department Management
    • Develop, supervise, and adjust a global marketing strategy aligned with sales objectives
    • Identify opportunities for new market development and emerging trends to position GMR Safety as a leader in its sector
    • Analyze project results and propose adapted recommendations
    • Determine performance indicators and share results with senior management
    • Design, plan, and supervise the execution of marketing campaigns (digital and traditional) to generate qualified leads and convert them into customers, in collaboration with sales teams
    • Measure and analyze marketing campaign performance, and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize impact
    • Identify relevant trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote our products and acquire new customers, and assist in their coordination
    • Develop event or promotional activity ideas, and ensure they are implemented within the allotted timeframe
    • Promote GMR Safety's reputation through public relations campaigns and communication initiatives using various communication channels
    • Develop innovative marketing and communication tools to increase GMR Safety's visibility and products on different markets
    • Conduct targeted market research to stay up-to-date with trends and conduct competitor monitoring
    • Manage the global marketing budget and allocate financial and human resources optimally to achieve defined objectives
    • Ensure the proper management of external service providers and their contracts to guarantee optimal return on investment

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or any other equivalent training
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of the business reality of European and American markets (asset)
  • Knowledge of the Web, social networks, and performance measurement tools (Google Analytics, WordPress, SEO, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce/Pardot (asset)
  • Analytical and strategic mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and accountability
  • Demonstrate a high sense of initiative
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Able to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Available for travel 20-30% of the time
  • Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written
