Job Title: HR Operations Specialist

Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Operations Specialist to join our team. As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resource Business Partner and other stakeholders in various functional areas, including recruitment and staffing, pre-employment processes, new hire orientation, and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with carrying out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruiting and staffing, pre-employment processes, new hire orientation, and onboarding.
  • Focus on 60% sourcing and 40% other recruiting projects, including some administrative duties within the recruiting cycle.
  • Support the selection and hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, offers, pre-employment process, and onboarding process.
  • Assist with coordinating onboarding information and preparation, including communicating with new hires, organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, and ensuring all necessary new hire paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons.
  • Assist with organizing, maintaining, and updating employee HRIS information as needed.
  • Assist with compiling monthly and weekly reports.
Requirements:
  • College diploma in Human Resources highly preferred or several years of relevant experience in lieu of diploma.
  • 2+ years of full-cycle staffing/recruitment experience preferred.
  • Head-hunter/staffing agency experience is a plus, the role must also understand internal HR recruiting hiring process and best practices.
  • Ability to present, communicate, and deliver in a professional manner.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to work in an open office environment where noise level is low to moderate.
  • Must be able to work basic office equipment, such as laptops, keyboards, scanners/copiers, including packing, lifting, and moving HR files when and if needed.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally stand.
  • Use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury-free.
