About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Response Coordinator to join our team at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington. As a key member of our Integrated Mobile Police and Crisis Team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health and addiction crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis assessments, interventions, and stabilization services to individuals in need.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans to address mental health and addiction concerns.
  • Collaborate with police, campus safety officers, and other community resources to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide education and training to police and campus safety officers on mental health and addiction issues.
  • Support the development of a comprehensive crisis response system that prioritizes individual well-being and community safety.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in crisis response, mental health, or addiction services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health, addiction, and crisis response principles and practices.
