The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for steering the Market Unit, managing all initiatives within the Technology Centers, and ensuring that established business goals are met while all projects are executed successfully. This position is focused on propelling the organization forward and cultivating a strong future within the designated Markets. The Senior Vice President holds ultimate responsibility for the growth, development, and effective utilization of personnel and facilities, providing the necessary capabilities to achieve sustainable advancement. A significant portion of this role involves long-term strategic planning for the organization's future. The incumbent will collaborate with the senior leadership team to realize the Eclipse Vision and foster the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture within set timelines and budgets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete accountability for the financial health and success of the Technology Centers within the Market Unit, ensuring business case targets and revenue goals are met.
  • Supervise Market Unit operations to guarantee production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective resource management, specifically overseeing the General Managers in each Technology Center and the necessary enabling functions to drive business success.
  • Conduct regular audits of Technology Center performance and collaborate with General Managers to ensure strategic plans are implemented effectively.
  • Analyze activity reports, operational metrics, and financial statements to assess overall business performance in alignment with the annual business plan, adjusting objectives and plans as needed based on current conditions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue and reduce costs through thoughtful development and execution of operating budgets, ensuring appropriate budget allocation.
  • Assess the performance of the leadership team within the Technology Centers to ensure compliance with established policies and their contributions toward achieving set objectives.
  • Work closely with senior business development leaders to ensure the sales pipeline is aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with relevant stakeholders, including General Managers, to set goals, track progress, and make necessary adjustments throughout the fiscal year to drive success.
  • Establish strong relationships with client executives, ensuring a clear escalation path is in place and that customers receive comprehensive value.
  • Implement corrective measures for any adverse trends or objectives that are at risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Business Management, with relevant experience in the Automation industry.
  • Certifications such as PMP, P.Eng, MBA, or CPA are advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a leadership role within custom automation or advanced manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior management operational capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management best practices, including tools for budget, schedule, and issue management, as well as key performance metrics.
