Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Advocate to join our Montreal Claims Team. As a Senior Claims Advocate, you will be responsible for facilitating loss management within the defined operational parameters of the claims team to ensure the prompt and equitable resolution of client claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate loss management within the defined operational parameters of the claims team.
  • Ensure the prompt and equitable resolution of client claims.
  • Work closely with internal Client Executives and Claims Advocacy colleagues to better the claim experience for clients.
  • Develop claim management best practices and provide technical claim assistance, leadership, and mentoring to colleagues.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a commercial claims environment either at the adjustor, carrier, legal, or brokerage level.
  • University degree or College certification.
  • CIP, CAIB, CRM, LL.B, or other relevant certifications.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant insurance law and claim litigation procedures.
  • Direct involvement with large, complex, casualty, and property losses.
  • Strong carrier relationships and detailed knowledge of insurance market claim procedures.
  • Claim Adjusting license (AMF).
  • Perfectly bilingual, spoken and written (French and English).

  • Understanding of risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
