Construction Laborer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at 6ix Construction Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from the site.
- Equipment Operation: Perform pre-operational inspections and assist in the operation of various construction equipment.
- Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
- Mixing and Pouring: Assist in mixing and pouring materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Framing and Finishing: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
- Environmental Responsibilities: Participate in duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
- Accessibility and Inclusion: Provide physical accessibility accommodations and participate in initiatives that support persons with disabilities.
- Community Engagement: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
