About the Role

Cooke's Construction Services is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Earthwork: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt as required.
  • Demolition: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures as part of our construction projects.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work to ensure the upkeep of our construction equipment and sites.
  • Environmental Safety: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
