We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Risk to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Risk Management and Compliance team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive risk management and compliance oversight to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support audit and regulatory engagements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive results and hold stakeholders accountable to bring tasks to closure, meeting risk and compliance obligations with high-quality deliverables.
- Execute effective internal review and challenge to improve the quality of submissions.
- Provide risk and compliance guidance and advisory services to support business decisions.
- Support teams throughout the lifecycle of their technical controls.
- Provide insights and recommendations for control design and implementation.
- Identify ongoing process improvements, operational gaps, and potential risk remediation steps.
- University/College graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in GRC, Audit, or comparable risk management role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Keen attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving, challenging the status quo, and thinking outside the box.
- Effective time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task and flexibly adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to distill complex technical details into concise, consumable language.
- Passionate about IT Risk Management.
