Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive individual to assume the role of Human Resources Strategic Partner. This position is pivotal in fostering a culture of performance and recognition across the organization.

  1. Contribute to the articulation and dissemination of the organization's vision, fostering an environment that emphasizes core values and performance.
  2. Establish and nurture strong relationships with leadership across various employee groups, ensuring collaborative decision-making and equitable application of practices.
  3. Gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational operations and requirements, identifying and implementing human resources strategies while monitoring performance metrics.
  4. Oversee the administration of diverse programs and policies, leading initiatives related to labor relations, training, and employee engagement.
  5. Manage and track employee lifecycle cases, including disability and parental leave, ensuring compliance and support.
  6. Provide comprehensive support to employees, addressing inquiries and advising operational staff on policy application.
  7. Ensure the accurate processing of payroll and related transactions, maintaining compliance with regulations.
  8. Facilitate the staffing process, from needs assessment to onboarding of new hires.
  9. Embody the organization's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while supporting colleagues.


Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a unionized environment.
  • Essential experience in HR functions; familiarity with Merger & Acquisitions is advantageous.
  • Possess a collaborative and solution-focused mindset, with strong communication skills; bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams and promote collaboration across multiple sites.
  • Capability to analyze situations, influence decisions, and ensure strategic alignment for organizational success.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of effective planning and meeting deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resources management laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
  • Willingness to engage in office work regularly.
