Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our team at Equitable Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for underwriting renewals, assumptions, and annual reviews for commercial mortgage products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite renewals, assumptions, and annual reviews for commercial mortgage products
- Adhere to established policies and underwriting standards, meeting compliance and control requirements
- Provide solutions to clients in a timely manner to achieve service goals and annual retention targets
- Manage relationships with external business partners and various staff within the Commercial Department and other internal departments
- Contribute to special projects as assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Proficient underwriting skills with a minimum 3-5 years' commercial mortgage experience and/or SFR underwriting experience
- Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and Corporate/Legal documentation for commercial real estate in multiple jurisdictions across Canada
- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree) preferably in business or finance
- Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
- Sound technical knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting, financial statement analysis, and factors affecting the commercial mortgage market
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word and Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to Senior Management and Partners in a clear, concise, and professional manner
