About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team in building innovative, scalable, and extensible products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving product innovation, leading a team of exceptional software developers, and owning success across multiple development engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and manage a team of exceptional software developers
  • Own success across multiple development engagements
  • Help your team Invent and Simplify to solve really hard business and technical challenges
  • Influence the strategic roadmap for creation of reusable solutions that accelerate cloud adoption
  • Set operational metrics and drive best practices
  • Build strong relationships with Customer Sales, Business Development, Solutions Architect, and Professional Services teams to help them accelerate AWS Adoption

Requirements
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
