Join us in shaping our workplace culture and environment by collaborating with fellow design and construction experts on a variety of exciting structural engineering initiatives. You will play a pivotal role throughout the design process, ensuring outstanding outcomes for our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management tasks, including financial oversight, resource allocation, change order management, and invoicing;
  • Engage in business development activities within the province;
  • Conduct structural design calculations and analyses;
  • Coordinate with design support personnel;
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers;
  • Prepare technical specifications and construction documentation;
  • Administer construction contracts;
  • Perform periodic site visits, including meetings, field assessments, and measurements;
  • Establish and maintain client relationships;

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering;
  • Over 7 years of experience in structural design and construction management;
  • Expertise in various building types, including institutional, educational, residential, and industrial structures;
  • Professional Engineer registration in Canada, with eligibility for registration or current registration with Engineers NS;
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and a collaborative team player;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

The following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Experience in structural design and construction management for masonry restoration, water and wastewater treatment facilities, industrial structures, electrical utility support structures, and marine projects;
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAP 2000, S-Frame, Lusas, and Revit;
