Senior Bridge Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading bridge design projects from initial concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and develop engineering projects, including inspections, evaluations, rehabilitations, and designs of bridge structures.
  • Define the scope and selection of problems for investigation, develop concepts and approaches, and make key technical decisions.
  • Supervise and coordinate teams of engineers and technicians, including reviewing work produced and mentoring junior staff.
  • Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation, and prepare calculations, drawings, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes, along with engineering reports and other technical documents.
  • Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience in Bridge Design and Project Management.
  • Great technical expertise with 3D structural modeling with analysis software, demonstrated experience developing tasks in bridge design and construction, and working knowledge of modern bridge design codes.
  • Prior experience guiding structural design teams either as a technical or discipline lead and consistently delivering on time and within budgets.
  • Engineer of Record on BCMOTI (or Ministry-like) projects (considered an asset).
