Position Overview

The Principal Electrical Engineer will play a vital role in our mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions. This position is integral to our team, which is dedicated to supporting Westinghouse's vision for a cleaner energy future.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engineering design and analysis for nuclear projects, focusing on electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and wiring.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information for project execution.
  • Planning and organizing work to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Quickly learning and applying standards, techniques, and procedures for developing engineering documentation, including calculations and specifications.
  • Utilizing software tools such as Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice, or similar, with a willingness to learn new software as needed.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with 10 to 12 years of experience, particularly in the nuclear field.
