Role Overview

Cognizant is enhancing its capabilities and is in search of a skilled Lead DevOps Engineer. This role is pivotal in developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure utilizing a variety of tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect, develop, and sustain the CI/CD pipeline for applications based on Docker and Kubernetes within the AWS ecosystem. Strong proficiency in AWS and EKS is essential.
  2. Engage with development teams to comprehend application needs and establish automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  3. Configure and oversee AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), and Azure DevOps Pipeline.
  4. Adopt infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to define and manage Kubernetes infrastructure.
  5. Evaluate and enhance the performance, reliability, and security of the CI/CD pipeline.
  6. Diagnose and resolve issues associated with the CI/CD pipeline, including build failures and deployment errors.
  7. Establish and uphold automated stage gate processes, including Lighthouse, Accessibility, Fortify, and SonarQube.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience of over 9 years in software development, deployment, and operations.
  2. Collaborate with the operations team to guarantee high availability, scalability, and security of the Kubernetes infrastructure.
  3. Remain informed about the latest industry trends and best practices in Kubernetes, AWS, and DevOps.
  4. Preferably possess knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and security protocols.
  5. Experience or knowledge in Lumen technology is advantageous.
  6. Coordinate and assist agencies/development teams in hosting applications for various regions.

Work Arrangements

This role requires a hybrid working arrangement, necessitating a presence in a client or Cognizant office for part of the week.
