The Rewards Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the execution and delivery of WestJet Rewards benefits and services. Responsibilities include designing and configuring data elements such as rules and products within the Loyalty Management System, ensuring alignment with business goals. This position is integral in representing strategic objectives to guarantee that processes and solutions provide a superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements and processes to implement solutions with various integration points, collaborating with both internal and external partners to ensure alignment with business initiatives.
  • Configure the Loyalty Management application to facilitate the fulfillment of program benefits, promotions, and enhancements, including defining conditions, criteria, and rule sets.
  • Analyze different options to provide recommendations and define a clear path forward.
  • Offer insights on initiatives affecting Loyalty services or processes to maintain service delivery standards and meet business objectives, requiring a thorough understanding of all WestJet Rewards benefits and services.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance delivery, customer experience, or operational performance, positively impacting member satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Guide testing and support efforts for the implementation of Rewards enhancements, releases, or promotions.
  • Provide operational support to address and mitigate service disruptions, including prioritization, impact assessment, resolution deployment, and communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role; experience in the Airline or Loyalty Industry is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise B2C Applications such as CRM and Loyalty Management Systems is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Loyalty Programs, including Management Systems, benefits, and services is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate uncertain scenarios and define a path forward.
  • Experience working independently with various partners to implement complex solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining visibility and progress.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to translate functional capabilities into business outcomes.
  • Experience in defining requirements and creating processes across multiple applications and integration points.
