Job Title: Part Time Case Worker Evening

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Case Worker Evening to join our team at the Brantford Booth Centre. As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting men who require transitional housing and federal release programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide problem-solving and referral counseling to shelter and CRF clients.
  • Complete intakes and assessments on each resident and develop a network of referrals to existing services and resources in the community.
  • Design and implement an interview schedule to evaluate the quality of life improvement of successful program participants.
  • Provide assistance to front desk personnel as needed and record activities and incidents occurring during the shift.
  • Work closely with your supervisor and maintain confidentiality with regard to clients and Centre records.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, part-time position with 15 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and the work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • University/College diploma in Social Service and/or combination of education and related life experience.
  • Possess current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificates.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of community-based resources and ability to work with socially disadvantaged people.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Competent on word processing equipment and excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work with federal release clients to develop and carry out a life plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and implement goals and plans for self and clients.
