About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure compliance with security and safety protocols, including criminal record checks and Child Abuse Registry checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and teamwork.
