The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility's electrical distribution systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout of industrial equipment and installations
  • Conduct planned preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Actively participate in our preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our equipment
  • Efficiently set up, inspect, and shut down production equipment as required, including process changeovers
  • Assist in planning and organizing work activities, including drawing interpretation and parts preparation
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial equipment and automation systems, including PLCs, HMI, frequency drives, and temperature control devices

Requirements:
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician with 1-2 years' experience
  • Knowledge of conveyors, high-speed slicers, pumps, and electrical/electronic controls
  • Strong working knowledge of HMI's, electric motor controls, programmable logic controllers, and basic wiring circuits
  • 442A or 309A license required
