About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our aviation infrastructure program in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of this multi-billion-dollar project, which aims to revolutionize the airport into one of the most advanced, sustainable, and passenger-friendly facilities in the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee project timeframes and budgets, ensuring diligent management and timely identification of risks, challenges, and mitigations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure successful project delivery in line with stakeholder expectations, effectively communicating strategies to clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Program Management: Manage the timely sequencing, methodology, and production of staging plans from project inception through to post-completion.
Client and Team Management
  • Client and Consultant Management: Oversee the management of client and consultant teams, ensuring effective collaboration and completion of projects in line with client expectations.
  • Internal and External Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies, programs, and initiatives, promoting collaboration and stakeholder satisfaction.
Safety and Wellbeing
  • Safety First: Promote Mace's value of Safety First, supporting the safety and wellbeing of all staff and sharing lessons learned through safety moments and the HSW framework.
Subject Matter Expertise and Guidance
  • Expert Guidance: Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of broader Mace projects and drive continuous improvement through best practices and lessons learned.
  • Management of Senior Staff: Manage a team of senior managers, managers, and assistant managers, fostering professional growth and ensuring effective team performance.
Strategic and Commercial Responsibilities
  • Strategic Alignment: Align project delivery with strategic initiatives, placing emphasis on construction to production, digital and data, service excellence, quality, assurance, and sustainability.
  • Commercial Activities: Perform non-project related roles such as business reporting, pipeline management, bidding, business development, resourcing, and commercial strategy as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
Environmental Responsibility
  • Net Zero Carbon Transition: Work collaboratively towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the aviation sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
