Position Overview

Summary

Khoury College is seeking qualified professionals to teach graduate-level courses in the realm of science and technology, with a particular focus on biotechnology, especially in the area of biopharmaceuticals. This role encompasses guiding students through the complexities of how biotechnology and bioscience enterprises manage the development, regulatory approval, and commercialization stages. Candidates with substantial experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors are encouraged to apply, as they will play a crucial role in the Biotechnology Professional Science Master's (PSM) Programs, tailored to meet program demands and student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and assimilate essential teaching points from provided instructor guides
  • Craft and present dynamic lectures utilizing the supplied course materials
  • Encourage thoughtful discussions and debates in both traditional and online formats
  • Deliver timely feedback and evaluations on student submissions
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and track their academic progress
  • Comply with the academic policies set forth by Khoury College

Part-time faculty members will report directly to the program director and will receive mentorship from a designated faculty lead, which includes holding office hours as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a PhD in biotechnology or a closely related discipline, or hold a DBA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree, alongside a minimum of five years of pertinent industry experience in biotechnology, biopharma, or pharmaceuticals. Exceptional presentation abilities are crucial, as well as a collaborative mindset and openness to feedback from senior faculty. Experience in diverse higher education settings is advantageous.
