About the Role:

MHIRJ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compensation team, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our company's compensation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, equity, and executive compensation.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark our compensation against industry standards.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to understand their needs and provide compensation solutions that attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Pay Equity laws and regulations where applicable and company's total rewards policies.
  • Conduct job evaluation and market surveys in reviewing new positions and providing salary recommendations.
  • Develop and present recommendations for compensation structure changes and adjustments.
  • Manage compensation-related projects, including annual salary reviews, bonus programs, equity grants.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR and management on compensation-related topics.
  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze survey data to determine competitiveness of compensation.
  • Keep abreast with industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and networking.
  • Create and maintain compensation-related documentation, such as job descriptions, salary structures, and incentive plans.
  • Assist with the development, preparation, and distribution of Total Rewards communication materials.
  • Utilize compensation management software to analyze and report on compensation data.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices and trends, job evaluation methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with executive compensation and equity programs is a plus.
  • Experience within aerospace services environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Canadian and US legislations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and compensation analysis tools and HRIS (Success Factor is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) will be an asset.
