GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our dynamic team based out of our Vaughan Corporate office. This critical support function requires exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the maintenance of current financial assurance portfolios, including performance bonds and letters of credit, and ensure understanding of key terms and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal partners and surety brokers to process requests for financial assurance documents, such as performance and bid bonds, letters of credit, and continuation certificates.
- Proactively manage financial assurances to ensure timely cancellation and renewal.
- Support and track documentation requirements for high-volume acquisition and integration activities related to financial assurance.
- Assist the treasury team with quarter-end reporting as required.
- Facilitate online bill payments and wire transfers requests.
- Process daily payment exception items.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with banking and financial assurance.
- Familiarity with North American financial institutions and banking structures, including experience with online business banking platforms.
- Understanding of legal entity structures, although not required.
- Post-M&A integration experience preferred but not required.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and a willingness to drive changes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to collaborate with other business units within a large organization.
