Event Supervisor Opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences? Do you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments? We're seeking a skilled Event Supervisor to join our team at Banff & Lake Louise Tourism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of event staff to execute Christmas and SnowDays events with precision and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Events, to develop and implement event plans, logistics, and site operations.
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable on-site experience for event staff and guests.
  • Deploy and supervise event staff to ensure effective execution of the event plan.
  • Oversee event operations, including site setup, guest registration, and special event activities.
  • Provide nightly and daily reports to the Manager, Events, and third-party production contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant destination information and communicate with event staff and guests accordingly.
  • Adhere to all Town of Banff and Parks Canada special event policies and permit requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing event sites, preferably in winter weather conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors, standing and/or walking for extended periods.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on executing events as planned with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • First Aid & CPR certification is an asset, with training provided.
  • Bilingualism in French (written/verbal) is an asset.
