Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of indirect tax, including compliance, master data maintenance, and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze transactional data to identify and mitigate indirect tax risks.
- Prepare and submit indirect tax returns and other tax filings, and respond to government notices.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with indirect tax issues, including invoice processing and billing.
- Determine the taxability of a large volume of manual accounts receivable invoices.
- Issue and maintain exemptions for vendors and customers.
- Prepare indirect tax account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist with testing software changes to ensure tax functionality is correct.
- Assist with government indirect tax audits by preparing schedules and obtaining supporting documentation.
- Monitor, communicate, and implement changes in indirect tax legislation.
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel: advanced skills required) and SAP.
- Strong accounting skills and a business or equivalent university degree with a concentration in accounting.
- CPA/CPA candidate or accounting designation.
- 3+ years of industry or accounting firm corporate income or indirect tax experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-focused, and results-oriented environment.
