Residential Architectural Technologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Residential Architectural Technologist to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and preparing designs and working drawing packages, revising existing plans, and preparing details.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with clients and team members to develop and prepare designs and working drawing packages
  • Revised existing plans and prepare details
  • Apply for, monitor, and process architectural approvals and building permits
  • Perform site inspections of new designs
  • Complete sets of drawings, architectural site plans, elevations, foundations, floor plans, sections, and details
  • Submit for Architectural Approval and make any necessary changes
  • Assist project managers and project teams with pre-qualification & tender submission packages
  • Ensure drawing files & folders are kept up-to-date and organized for easy retrieval
  • Take care of lot inspections as required for architectural approvals
Requirements:
  • Education in Drafting or Architectural Technology
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the residential construction industry - drafting homes/architectural drawing packages
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ongoing learning of overall industry, including building materials, construction methods & standards
  • Knowledge of building code an asset
