About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Value Village. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our store, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of high-touch areas, such as bathrooms and break rooms
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and appliances safely and efficiently
  • Follow loss prevention procedures and report any internal or external theft to a manager
  • Participate in safety training and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write
  • Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
