Position Overview - Full Stack Developer
At Terra Insights Ltd., a premier provider of geotechnical and geospatial monitoring solutions, we are seeking a Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development of high-performance data visualization applications.
As part of Orica Digital Solutions, a global technology entity focused on mining and civil infrastructure sectors, you will play a vital role in our innovative projects. Discover more about our offerings at Orica Digital Solutions.
Role Highlights
This position supports a hybrid work model based in our Vancouver office.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop GIS and data visualization applications that positively influence safety, enhance productivity for various businesses, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
- Create responsive and visually engaging designs to ensure an optimal user experience across diverse devices and web browsers.
- Quickly develop new web applications free from legacy constraints.
- Produce clean, well-documented, and modular code adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Identify and resolve issues, conduct code reviews, and engage in technical discussions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant positions, including:
- Web development expertise, particularly in modern frameworks.
- Proficiency with state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack).
- Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, Websockets, and OAuth protocols.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
- A combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with popular web-based GIS frameworks, such as ArcGIS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of real-time applications (SignalR, Socket.IO).
- Familiarity with spatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles) and geospatial visualization techniques.
- Experience in data plotting and engineering applications.
- Familiarity with C# and .NET development is a plus but not mandatory.
Location and Benefits
This hybrid role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We offer competitive compensation aligned with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
Compensation Overview
- Full-time position
- Annual salary range: 97,000 - 130,000 CAD
