We are seeking a skilled Family Physician to join our team at Windsor Medical Clinic on a locum basis. As a locum physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our existing staff.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Examining patients and taking their medical histories
- Ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advising patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consulting and referring patients to other medical practitioners
- Acting as a patient advocate
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related events
This is a locum position, and the expected hours of work will be discussed with the clinic.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. They will also be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
