About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Everest Transportation Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
