Job Summary:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting in the production of high-quality bakery products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Package and label bakery products for sale, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Perform tasks such as slicing bread, frying donuts, utilizing ovens, and assisting in production as directed by bakers.
  • Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Assist in setting up products for the following day, ensuring a smooth and efficient start to the day.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with some heavy lifting required.
  • Prior experience in a bakery setting is an asset, but training is available for the right candidate.
