Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and ensuring the efficient operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and handle customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers, including operating dishwashers, washing and peeling vegetables and fruit, and replenishing condiments and supplies.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, and cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Food Counter Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions. The position requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.

Physical Demands:
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
