Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Riverview Health Centre is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses, College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses, and Scope of practice as documented in the Licensed Practical Nurses Act.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, delegate care appropriately, and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, adapt quickly to changing situations, and maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment, and proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent, related experience in the applicable clinical area may be required, or preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
