About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Animator to join our team at Electronic Arts. As an Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality keyframe animation with a focus on full body character acting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Animation Lead and Director to develop and implement animation concepts.
  • Work with technical and art disciplines to solve implementation challenges and ensure seamless integration with game engines.
  • Design and create assets and state machines using proprietary engine tools.
  • Verify animation content using proprietary engine technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of game bugs and work with other disciplines to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in creating full body keyframe animation with a primary emphasis on full body character performance in Maya.
  • Strong technical comprehension in relation to designing and implementing animation state machines in game engines such as Unity, Unreal, or similar.
  • Ability to adapt to new animation styles, production tools, workflows, and pipelines.
  • A mindset that focuses on quality, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Solid organization and efficient time management skills.

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience in the Simulation genre of games.
  • Experience evaluating object or character rigs.
  • Comfortable creating entertaining acting performances for reference for your animations or others.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence, Jira software, Shotgun, or similar tools.
