Job Title: Machine Shop Charge Hand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Charge Hand to join our team at Echo-Tech Machine & Tool Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of machine shop personnel, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to plan and execute production tasks.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances, and maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent.
  • Machinist Trade Certification or equivalent.
  • Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
