Job Title: Machine Shop Charge Hand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Charge Hand to join our team at Echo-Tech Machine & Tool Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of machine shop staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Production Planning: Plan and prioritize production tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine shop equipment, ensuring that all tools and machinery are in good working order.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Certifications: Machinist Trade Certification, Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification, and Machinist Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM and AutoCAD.
